Environmental protection is an essential component of maintaining excellent relationships with our employees, our business partners, regulatory authorities and our surrounding community, and we consider it an ethical imperative. We conduct regular audits that ensure compliance at our facility. We continually coordinate with industry and professional associations as well as local and federal agencies. We collectively track emerging issues, help to develop industry best-practices and share perspectives and information with key industry participants. This culture of open-communication is motivated by our responsibility of environmental stewardship in all relevant functions and throughout all levels of our company.

Protecting the Air

Ocean Point Terminals is committed to protecting air quality by managing emissions from our operations. We use advanced technology and control equipment to prevent or reduce air emissions.

Protecting the Harbor

Ocean Point Terminals wants to make sure that St. Croix continues to have the most beautiful water in the Caribbean. Water that is discharged is routinely tested and monitored by the Ocean Point’s Environmental Department and is also monitored by the EPA to ensure it meets Territorial Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) permit limits.

Protecting Soil and Groundwater

Ocean Point Terminals works to protect the soil and groundwater through various inspection programs on our regulated storage tanks, sewers and other equipment.
